Overview of Network
The XY Planning Network is a unique member organization of Advice for a Fee financial planners, who are focused on working with Generation X and Generation Y clients. Our mission is to connect consumers with best-in-class financial planners who specialize in working with clients just like you.

Specialize in Gen X & Gen Y
Our planners are specialists in working with clients just like you. They are the leading experts in topics related to your situation and needs. You can see if a particular planner has expertise in a specific area on their Planner Profile.

Financial Planning – Always First
We believe that consumers need more than investment advice, and are looking for financial planning they can trust. All of our planners will provide a comprehensive financial plan, which can include things such as: cash flow, debt management, retirement planning, estate and legacy planning, insurance analysis, tax planning, real estate analysis, and in many cases investment advice and/or management.

Work Virtually
While most of our members work with local clients, all of our planners provide services on a virtual basis using advanced technology for clients that request it. We understand that you lead a busy life, and making your way to your financial planner’s office may not always be convenient or possible. By providing services virtually, you can keep in touch from wherever you may be, at a time convenient for all. We will help you find the best financial planner for your unique financial situation regardless of location.

Fee Structures That Work For You
Our members are committed to offering services in a way that makes the most sense for you. Their goal is to help you understand your future, and help you realize your dreams. We incur many costs on a monthly basis, so why shouldn’t you engage your financial planner monthly for on-going assistance? All of our members offer monthly retainer services not just asset orientated fees. Our planners do not require asset minimums so why should the fees be built on asset values alone. You never have to worry about having enough wealth to hire our financial planners.

Advice for a Fee
This means just what it says. Our members get paid for providing advice. They take responsibility for that advice being in your interest not theirs. Our members do not accept commissions, payments for referral or kickbacks of any kind. All fees must originate with clients and be transparent. We believe behind the scene or hidden payments introduce conflicts of interest between clients, planners and investment professionals. All parties should be working towards the same goal: your financial well being. The only compensation your financial planner should receive is for services directly provided to you. Our members never sell any kind of investment or insurance product for the purpose of receiving a payment.

Fiduciaries
We believe that consumer deserve a financial planner that is fully committed to doing what is best for their clients. Our members sign the Fiduciary Oath to always work in their clients best interest, and a signed copy is available on their Planner Profile. You wouldn’t go to a doctor or lawyer that wasn’t always working in your best interest, so why choose a financial planner that isn’t working for you? Most of the investment industry will not allow their representatives to take an oath or swear their commitment to accept a fiduciary responsibility. The widely used standard of suitability is much more conducive to selling you a product that earns them the largest commission.
